The End of Chaos

The End of Chaos is the thirteenth studio album by American thrash metal band Flotsam and Jetsam, released on January 18, 2019. It is the band's first album to feature drummer Ken Mary, replacing Jason Bittner who left Flotsam and Jetsam in 2017 to join Overkill. - Wikipedia

EXCELLENT Despite I wish the album was more abundant in the slower thrash-oriented moments department, "The End of Chaos" is a ruthless declaration of calculated guitar riffs, eruptions of velocity combined with doomy bass lines, irritated vocal lines and unforgiving high-class drumming, all of the above hardened with a crystal-clear mix and production to boot.

That being said, Flotsam and Jetsam have delivered an album in the top end of their discography.

Nevertheless, The End of Chaos is not inherently a bad album, it poses no threat to FLOTSAM AND JETSAM’s legacy and is solid enough to appease their long-term fans.

With Flotsam & Jetsam’s new album ‘The End of Chaos’, the band have again constructed a fresh batch of songs that in honesty don’t stray too far from the band’s established NWOBHM-influenced thrash pallet, but at the same time will definitely be enough to satisfy long time fans of F&J.

If this album is any indication, 2019 could be a great year for thrash, and either way, it proves again that Flotsam and Jetsam still have a lot left in them, so hopefully, they can keep the momentum going for a few more albums yet!
