Mystery to Me

Mystery to Me is the eighth studio album by British-American rock band Fleetwood Mac, released on 15 October 1973. This was their last album to feature Bob Weston. Most of the songs were penned by guitarist/singer Bob Welch and keyboardist/singer Christine McVie, who were instrumental in gearing the band toward the radio-friendly pop rock that would make them successful a few years later. Although Mystery to Me sold moderately and produced no hit singles, "Hypnotized" became an American FM radio staple for many years. In the wake of the Buckingham/Nicks-led line-up's success a few years later, the album achieved a RIAA gold certification in the United States in 1976.-Wikipedia

That said, it's certainly one of the stronger albums between 1969's Then Play On and the mainstream-hitting self-titled in 1975, because of the songwriting alone.

Smooth, lush, funky, easy going rocker adorned with sweet harmonies and underpinned by a slick grooviness.

"Why” is an emotional ballad which closed the album. She created just the right vehicle for her soulful and bluesy voice, and the song would also remain a part of the group’s concert act for decades.

Mystery To Me is probably a great place for you to start discovering who Fleetwood Mac were before they became rock gods.

Throughout Mystery to Me the amazing and almost telepathic drums and bass of Mick Fleetwood and John McVie give this effort more panache and muscle.
