MUSCLE OF LOVE

MUSCLE OF LOVE - Cooper stated in an interview at the time of recording that the album marked a return to a basic rock sound. "It's not complicated in any sense and there's not a lot of theatricality on it. It's very basic rock and roll throughout." Cooper further explained, "Billion Dollar Babies was a studio effort all the way. So was School's Out. It was just so clean that after a few times of hearing it myself, it had no mystery to it. I really wanted this one to have more guts to it. More balls." -Wikipedia

1974 - While the album contains several highlights and wild-card experiments, its mood reveals that both the group and Alice are uncertain of what new directions they might turn to their own uses. This isn’t necessarily bad

2012 - I think it's Hard Rock with some of that theatrics in there. The variety helps me digest this faster.

2015 - a great sign that ALICE COOPER and his band were more than image, that they had a band who could back up a singer who is such a one of a kind icon

Even ONE (1) Alice Cooper muscle of love suffices to make a pretty damn good album. And no Ezrin!

It's almost painfully evident that they were treading water with this release! ... I'm sorry I can't come up with too many inspiring words to say about this, but such is the effect of this non-inspiring album!

It's good, solid rock'n'roll, but it lacks the power and force of previous albums like " Killer," " School's Out" or " Billion Dollar Babies."
