LITTLE DEUCE COUPE

Little Deuce Coupe is the fourth album by American rock band the Beach Boys, and their third album release in 1963. It reached number four in the United States during a 46-week chart stay, and was eventually certified platinum by the RIAA. It is considered to be one of the earliest examples of a rock concept album. - WIKIPEDIA

Little Deuce Coupe was a concept album of sorts, in that most of the songs had something to do with cars and hot rod culture. That's a pretty thin train of thought to sustain for most of a record.

2014- For an album hastily cobbled together in about a month, it's pretty good. It's not great overall, but it's good.

Little Deuce Coupe isn’t that inferior than the albums that surround it, but the crassness of the concept makes it the worst Beach Boys album covered on this page to date.

Despite some repeats from earlier releases, “Little Deuce Coupe” is one of the best hot rod albums out there, and plays like a ‘best of’ compilation, featuring some of the most memorable tunes from the group.

A concept album? In 1963? Yeah, that's right! It's a fine listen too, and one of The Beach Boys more consistent LP efforts.
