Green’s voice bounces around like a superball, shooting in all directions during an extended closing in which he again plays off himself and screams “baaybeh” like no one else around.

The consistently high quality maintained throughout the album has led some critics to argue that I'm Still In Love With You rivals Call Me as Green's masterpiece.

As neglected as the album may be, it's never failed to embrace me after any absence of any length. It's simply beautiful.

This is not just an Al Green staple, but a classic American album, in much the way "Let's Stay Together" continues to stand as an American classic song.

There isn't a wasted track on I'm Still in Love With You, and in many ways it rivals its follow-up, Call Me, as Green's masterpiece.

“I’m Still In Love With You” is nothing short of perfection, and the version of Kris Kristofferson’s “For the Good Times” extracts pure gold from the country-soul mine.

The lessons of “I’m Still In Love with You” stayed with me. I’m certain they helped me know what’s important over a 30-year marriage. To dedicate a line to the album and to its artists, let me say, before I forget, loving you baby is where it’s at.
