Exotic Birds and Fruit

Exotic Birds and Fruit is the seventh full-length studio album by British progressive rock band Procol Harum. It was released in 1974. Of special note is the release of the album in Argentina, calling the album "P jaros Y Frutas Ex ticas" (literally translated as "Birds and Exotic Fruit"). The cover artwork for the album is by Jakob Bogdani, a noted Slovak artist whose paintings centred on exotic birds and fruit. -Wikipedia

In contrast to the masterpiece that was side one, side two of the LP was uneven, containing second-echelon songs

2018 - The follow up to Grand Hotel gets the remaster treatment. Proculs Harum’s 1974 effort plus a shedload of period live material. Tasty.

2011 - An overall strong album from the band, and well worth it for the first four tracks alone

No, it’s not as grand as Grand Hotel, but it’s more enjoyable with all the songs on it bordering actual pop music! Really, hardly a song goes by on this album that doesn’t scream out “ENJOY ME” directly into your ears. Exotic Birds and Fruit is such an excellent album.

The number and quality of hooks throughout most of the album is just unbelievable

This is more pop sounding with a couple rockers thrown in, but this only adds to the diversity. Magic!

When you get a Procol Harum album you sort of know what you are getting, but each one has its own flavor. I'd consider this perhaps to be one of the stronger of their catalog.
